The light at dusk has been used as a motif by many artists for centuries. It is a time which has often been considered melancholic by its own fleeting existence. The temporality of the light accentuating the feeling of transience in life.

All the images are taken within walking distance of my home, and are therefore also a record of the experience of walking at this time, between the sea and the South Downs, and through the city.
